BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

 

This is an extraordinary chance to join the Diesel Global Business Insights & Retail Excellence recently created to drive Direct Channels performances and execute transition towards a Customer Centric culture. In this area, Business & Consumer Intelligence team is accountable for providing both business and consumer insights to Diesel Leadership teams supporting key decision making processes. The candidate can make a significant impact in the team, a chance to do something creative and meaningful by setting the tools to spread a data culture in Diesel (both in HQ, in Head Offices worldwide as well as in the Retail network) supporting a data driven decision making mindset. The candidate will have the chance to develop and refine her/his personal analytical skill set and gain deep knowledge of Power BI. Appropriate candidates will be given the chance the acquire an official certification as a “Certified Business Analyst”.

 

Key Responsibilities
•    Reporting: support the Business & Consumer Intelligence team to build and maintain a valuable reporting package to share with Management & Business Partners. Helps avoiding the over-proliferation of similar reports across departments, early detect the possibility to merge duplicates;
•    Top Management presentation: the candidate will be directly involved in the creation of presentation to both Diesel and OTB Top Management, ensuring actionable insights are effectively communicated to key decision makers to drive strategy execution;
•    Business partner support: After an extensive training on Power BI and the company specific data sets the role will be supporting in the process of report and dashboard creation;
•    Data culture Training: Will support the manager in playing the role of “Evangelist” by diffusing the knowledge of the benefits linked to the use of the tools and reports across business users. Monitor the actual adoption by department (e.g. # of users accessing the platform, # of reports currently utilized…) and support the department leader to take action to increase it in case of utilization below the expectation;
•    Data set governance: the candidate will work on the documentation of complex data sets and on creating training material; Support the manager in ensuring the certification, reliability and accuracy of data, by developing a “Dictionary” of measures and KPIs univocally interpreted across different teams and departments (e.g. sell through calculation should be consistent across all reports and visualization);
•    Data Visualization: the candidate will collaborate with multiple teams throughout the company to use data, with a focus on supporting the teams in the phase of dashboard creation and data visualization;
•    Ad-hoc request: the candidate support the team on other ad-hoc requests.

Skills & Experience
•    Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in Computer Science, Business Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering or a related field;
•    Knowledge of data visualization tools will be considered a relevant plus (e.g. Power BI, Tableau);
•    Appreciated knowledge of Python or R;
•    Fluent English and Italian are a must (other languages beneficial);
•    Good command of MS Office (Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint);
•    Strong analytical mindset.
