The Events & Production Managers will be involved in putting on a fashion show or fashion week event, photo shoots, award ceremonies, exhibitions and much more, overseeing the entire production, from start to finish.
In the lead up to an event, an event producer will spend their days planning the logistics of the event, managing budgets, and hiring specialists to arrange the catering, building the event space, setting up sound, lighting and music, booking models, as well as hair and make-up teams and everything related to the event.
Events & Production Managers also need to consider the health and safety of their attendees and staff, ensuring that any risks are managed so that accidents are prevented. On an event, a producer spends their time ensuring that all the moving parts are in place so that the event runs smoothly. It’s a highly collaborative job — they often manage large teams and delegate tasks to others.
Events & Production Managers must have great entrepreneur spirit, leadership skills, be solution driven and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently. They must be good with numbers and spreadsheets to manage tight budgets and keep on top of their tasks.
Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and effective communication skills are also key in this role. As fashion show producer, the candidate will be working with various stakeholders, including designers, models, stylists, and sponsors, so the ability to collaborate and coordinate with different personalities is crucial.
Event producers Events & Production Managers are incredibly organized and detail-oriented. They are able to multi-task, problem solve, plan ahead, think strategically, and work well with other people. A creative eye would be a plus.
A strong background in fashion and a deep understanding of the luxury industry – at least 5 years’ experience in the show production field is crucial.
It can be a high-adrenaline, fast-paced career where you’ll be collaborating with many different people at V&R to ensure that the event comes together on time and on budget.
KEY Responsibilities
•    Schedule and coordinate the production of the global marketing calendar, including international fashion shows, shoots, campaigns, exhibitions, retail-events, special projects and brand collaborations. 
•    Accurately and confidently communicate creative ideas to suppliers on behalf of the creative team when required. 
•    Report, plan, prioritize and manage workloads across multiple productions 
•    Supervise & Draw-up – when needed - production budgets, schedules, and critical paths to ensure smooth running productions and clear communication to the wider business. 
•    Negotiate competitive rates and associated usage rights with preferred partners across each production, ensuring projects always remain on budget and to schedule. 
•    Reconcile all projects with accounts, ensuring timely settlement of all supplier's invoices within the company’s agreed payment terms.  
•    Prepare and modify shoot/event contracts with the legal team as requested for each project. 
•    Oversee travel arrangements & logistics for projects, where necessary.
