OTB Spa is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor for the Corporate Governance, Compliance & Internal Audit department.
The Senior Internal Auditor, in reporting directly to the Head of Group Corporate Governance & Internal Audit, will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of operational, compliance, IT, financial and commercial audits. The role is aimed to ensure that all activities identified in the Audit Plan are successfully and timely completed from the begin-ning to the end, including follow up of deficiencies identified. In details, he/she will be in charge of execute the audit engagements, identify internal control system deficiencies, formulate suggestions, support the process owner in understanding their impacts, suggest solutions and drafting the audit reports.
The Senior Internal Auditor will be involved in the following activities:
- Execute audits engagements (operational, financial, IT, compliance) across the world, based on the Internal Audit Plan;
- Conduct the assigned audit engagements successfully from the beginning to the end;
- Identify risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies;
- Review and evaluate the adequacy and timeliness of management’s response and corrective action taken on internal audit findings, including validation of remediation activities;
- Ensure that audit conclusions are well-documented by obtaining and reviewing evidence;
- Organization of personal effort to be risk-based, productive, efficient in respecting the due date as-signed;
- Ensure that audit conclusions are based on a complete understanding of processes, circumstances, and risks;
- Formulate audit findings and draft of Audit and Executive Summary Reports;
- Examine and evaluate the IT Systems across the organization, recommending controls to ensure systems reliability, business continuity, data security and integrity;
- Execute follow up activities to monitor management’s interventions as necessary;
- Develop audit programs and testing procedures;
- Perform other related duties as assigned (i.e. ad hoc analysis, presentation on audit results, support in planning engagements, review of supporting documentation etc.);
- Support and assist management in terms of risk & control management improvement and Corporate Governance processes;
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned audit work in accordance with the International Professional Practices Framework of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Job requirements:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or equivalent;
- 5 or more years of experience in similar positions in a multinational company or an experience in one of the big four in compliance and risk management department;
- Strong knowledge of MS Office;
- Strong accounting background and process mapping knowledge;
- Knowledge of the principal audit techniques and literature (COSO Report, Internal Audit Standard, Fraud audit);
- Strong knowledge of the Internal Audit methodology: preliminary analysis, opening meeting, field-work, closing meeting, audit report and follow up;
- Strong knowledge of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) of the Institute of In-ternal Auditors (IIA);
- Availability for international short-term engagement or international mobility;
- Fluent in English and Italian. Knowledge of another language will be considered as a plus;
- Experience in controlling or finance department with process mapping knowledge, process risks as-sessment as well as CIA certification is considered a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, Lead auditor ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 is considered a plus;
- Working experience with SAP system and Stealth 3000 is highly appreciated.
