The FP&A Manager, Mexico will be responsible for driving the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to support strategic decision-making and ensure the company’s financial health. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership and various departments to provide insights that drive performance improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making for key business initiatives.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights on revenue, expenses, profitability, and key financial metrics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, capital planning, and operational improvements.
  • Monitor and report on the company’s cash flow, working capital, and financial position.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor performance, and other external factors that may impact the company’s financial performance.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in financial planning and reporting to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the FP&A function.
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario planning to support business decisions and special projects.
  • Assist in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, or other strategic investments, including due diligence and financial impact analysis.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience managing across multiple Mexico based stores at once, with a strong operations background.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in retail, luxury retail or service-oriented organization preferred.
  • Proven experience as an FP&A Manager or in a similar financial planning and analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial consolidation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with senior leadership and providing strategic financial advice.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Experience in results-oriented, high-growth environments with agile, resourceful capabilities.
  • Intermediate English-speaking skills is a plus.
