We are looking for a Field Area Manager DACH who will be placed within the Diesel European HQ in Milan (MI). The successful candidate will manage client relationships, monitor sales performance, and ensure consistent growth in wholesale distribution in the assigned area. Key responsibilities include executing sales strategies and maintaining strong partnerships with vendors and clients. The position will report to the Head of Wholesale Italy, DACH & Greece within and work closely also with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment with company objectives.

 


Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Define and develop wholesale channel distribution across multibrand stores in the DACH region, ensuring the achievement of assigned targets, like-for-like (L4L) growth, and business development across all product categories.
  • Regularly visit existing and potential clients to strengthen relationships and expand business opportunities.
  • Negotiate Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets with clients, ensuring the application of company commercial terms and standard policies.
  • Organize and manage wholesale client appointments in the showroom, ensuring effective product presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ, customer service, credit control, and the commercial board to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Manage logistics and payment issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Prepare and manage administrative and sales reports to monitor commercial performance.
  • Coordinate with trade marketing and visual merchandising teams to maximize brand visibility and positioning.

 

Main requirements:

  • Proven experience in the DACH market with strong, stable relationships established with key accounts in the region.
  • Goal-oriented, with the ability to assign specific targets for each client, whether active or potential, within their area of responsibility.
  • Skilled in ensuring the correct execution of planned commercial strategies, as well as overseeing administrative and logistical processes.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and commercial skills, with strong communication, organizational, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in using the Office suite and key software tools, capable of updating, monitoring, and periodically sharing reports and sales results, and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region, for at least 50% of the working time.
  • Experience in organizing marketing activities aimed at developing the brand in both commercial terms and market positioning.
  • Excellent knowledge of products, brand positioning, and competitor analysis, with strong abilities in identifying market trends and monitoring volumes and price trends
