Jil Sander is looking for a Finance Controller to join the Finance team at its Milan Headquarters.
This role plays a key part in overseeing company profitability, from gross profit dynamics to stock management and valuation, while also partnering with the Product function to monitor and control collection development, prototyping, and sampling costs. The position ensures accurate performance monitoring and provides meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Â
- Profitability & Gross Profit:Â Analyze gross profit across channels, business lines, and product categories, monitoring pricing dynamics (mark-ups and mark-downs) and commercial initiatives. Identify risks and opportunities, supporting Commercial and Product teams with actionable insights.
- Stock Management & Valuation:Â Analyze stock performance (turnover, ageing, slow movers), support its valuation, and assess key drivers and impacts on margins, cash flow, and clearance strategies.
- Product Development, Prototyping & Sampling Costs:Â Monitor and control collection development, prototyping, and sampling costs, ensuring alignment with budget and forecasts. Analyze variances and key cost drivers, collaborate cross-functionally, and provide KPIs and insights to support cost efficiency and collection budgeting.
- Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare regular reports on profitability, stock, and product costs, develop dashboards and ad hoc analyses, and support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closing activities.
- Business Partnership: Act as a finance partner to key functions, providing clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders while monitoring risks and opportunities across the product lifecycle.
