At Diesel Italia, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Coordinator, to oversee HSE activities across the assigned area in Europe.

The role ensures full compliance with applicable legislation, supports the implementation of the Group HSE strategy, and drives continuous improvement in HSE performance across multiple legal entities and direct operating stores and commercial offices.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Compliance & Governance:

  • Supervise all HSE matters across the assigned area, ensuring each legal entity complies with current and upcoming legislation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provisions issued by authorities
  • Align local practices with Group standards and international frameworks (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)

Risk Management & Prevention:

  • Identify and assess all risks related to health, safety, environment, and security
  • Implement all necessary measures to eliminate or mitigate workplace risks
  • Promote a proactive risk management approach across all sites

Incident Management & Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead incident investigations and perform root cause analysis
  • Define and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Develop and implement HSE improvement plans, monitoring KPIs and performance trends

Training & Safety Culture:

  • Identify mandatory HSE training requirements
  • Develop and implement a structured HSE training plan
  • Ensure effective execution of training activities across multicultural teams
  • Foster a strong and consistent safety-first culture

Audits, Inspections & Certification:

  • Plan and conduct site visits as agreed with the central HSE function
  • Coordinate and support HSE audits and certification processes
  • Perform regular inspections and ensure follow-up actions are completed

Documentation & Administrative Management:

  • Collect and maintain all mandatory HSE documentation
  • Ensure a structured and compliant digital archive system
  • Manage HSE administrative processes and reporting activities

Reporting & Budgeting:

  • Prepare HSE reports and dashboards for regional and central stakeholders
  • Report quarterly to the Board of Directors (via central HSE function) on:
    • Implementation status
    • Key risks
    • Relevant updates
  • Monitor HSE costs and support budget planning and forecasting

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Liaise with Facility Management, Retail Operations, HR, Finance, Internal Audit, Procurement to implement HSE initiatives within budget guidelines
  • Collaborate with central HSE and local management teams to ensure alignment and effective execution
  • Coordinate and oversee local HSE consultants and external advisors, ensuring consistency with Group standards, quality of deliverables, and compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Act as a key point of contact between external consultants, local entities, and corporate HSE function

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as: Engineering (e.g., Safety, Environmental, Industrial); Occupational Health and Safety / Prevention & Protection; Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in HSE coordination or management; experience in international or multi-site environments is preferred.
  • Relevant HSE certifications such as: NEBOSH Diploma; IOSH / OSHA; RSPP (Italy) or equivalent national certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of European HSE legislation, risk assessment methodologies and HSE management systems and audits.
  • Experience with KPIs monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory).
  • Availability for frequent travel across the assigned area in Europe (among 30-50%).
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Cultural awareness and adaptability.
  • Results-driven with a continuous improvement approach

 

Compensation & Level:

  • CCNL Commercio, Level 2°
  • Salary range (gross annual): €38.000 - €42.000
  • Variable incentive plan:

 

The final offer will be determined based on experience, skills, and level of responsibility. We are open to candidates with different levels of seniority.
