At Diesel Headquarters located in Milan (MI), we are currently seeking an innovative and dedicated Head of Womenswear Designer to join our organization.

She/He will work within the Style Department, overseeing the full creative process of the Womenswear RTW collection, working closely with the Creative Director and the Studio Director and guiding the WW RTW design team.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design process from initial sketches to final samples, ensuring aesthetic consistency and design integrity, in alignment with the Creative Director vision, the brand identity and the seasonal direction.
  • Lead the trend research and the creation of mood boards, the selection of fabrics and the development of prints, colors and silhouette;
  • Supervise and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Coordinate with the Global Merchandising team to ensure a well-balanced collection that meets both creative vision and market needs.;
  • Participate in fittings and liaise with the Product Development team for material sourcing and review of prototypes.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in women’s fashion design, with at least 2-3 years as leader of a design team.
  • Master Degree or similar within Fashion and/or Graphic Design;
  • Strong creative vision, deep knowledge of trends, fabrics, and garment construction.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creation Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and similar tools;
  • Strong creative vision with attention to business objectives;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Great attention to detail;
  • Proficient English (both spoken & written). The knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus.
  • Availability to travel for sourcing, fittings, and events as required.
