Purpose:
The Accountant is a key contributor to the financial integrity and operational discipline of the organization. This role owns critical accounting functions, leads complex close activities, and partners cross-functionally to deliver accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and insightful analysis. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, retail acumen, and a polished, detail-oriented approach aligned with the standards of a luxury brand. The ideal candidate will have advanced understanding of financial concepts, excellent retail business acumen, and the ability to communicate insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Position Summary
Â
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Ensure integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
- Identify and resolve accounting issues; recommend and implement corrective actions
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and executive reporting packages
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Drive process efficiencies and automation within accounting and reporting
- Partner with Finance leadership on ERP, POS, and system enhancements
- Establish scalable accounting practices to support growth and new store openings
- Act as a trusted finance partner to Store Operations, HR, Payroll, and corporate teams
- Support budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with Finance leadership

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience of progressive accounting experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in accounting, or finance
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred; SAP, Oracle, or similar acceptable)
- Strong understanding of POS and inventory management systems
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical judgment
- Experience in preparing financial statements according to US GAAP and Italian GAAP and working with internal and external audit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision making with proactivity and self-direction.

Salary Range: $75K-$80K
