Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions, and providing excellent support to various departments within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of financial policies, documentation requirements, and the ability to maintain robust relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders.
This role reports to the Accounting Director, North America and is based out of our NYC office.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Address day-to-day accounts payable inquiries and research, including answering interdepartmental questions about policies and documentation requirements.
- Assist with the timely preparation of supporting schedules and materials for the month-end closing and annual financial audit.
- Track corporate credit card expense report submissions and approval progress to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Coordinate stale-date check communications with payee ensuring proper resolution.
- Assist in the annual preparation and distribution of 1099 and 1042 tax forms.
- Provide occasional departmental administrative support, including scheduling meetings, distributing team mail, and assisting with property insurance claims.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records.
- Compile, analyze, and report financial information to management and government agencies as required.
- Develop, implement, improve, and enforce budgets, policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and lenders across multiple affiliates.
- Manage and mentor the Accounts Payable team staff, ensuring a high level of performance and professional development.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the department head.

Required Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 5Â years experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, analyze, and report financial data accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records and transactions.
- Strong problem-solving with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proven leadership abilities to manage and develop a team.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
Â
