Purpose:
This position provides HR management and generalist support for the employees across OTB Group North America (US, Canada, Mexico). As a key leader on the HR team, the HRBP will build collaborative partnerships and provide outstanding customer service to the store and office teams across all levels. This is a hands-on, solution-oriented role that helps drive business results by ensuring our ability to attract, engage, and develop the best talent across the brands and group.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide full cycle recruitment support for retail and corporate positions; liaise with Managers on temporary staffing and intern needs; support the hiring process.
  • Design and lead the necessary recruitment and selection processes, either in-house or outsourced.
  • Identify the most suitable candidates for retail and corporate positions.
  • Conduct intake meetings, create robust job and candidate specifications, set research and talent engagement strategies, qualify and present candidates, manage the interview process, conduct debrief meetings, negotiate offers, and develop customized closing strategies leveraging internal resources, i.e. total rewards.
  • Analyze and share effectiveness of efforts utilizing data including search status reports, market trend reports, and retro analysis.
  • Research, identify, and develop relationships with prospective candidates for active searches through targeted company research, passive outreach, industry networking, and internal sources.
  • Lead efforts to strategically build and maintain a network of active candidates and passive prospects through dedicated market research and ongoing relationship management.
  • Ensure that Job Descriptions are accurate and updated prior to commencement of recruitment drives.
  • Manage communication and timeline of new store openings in partnership with leadership to support recruitment calendar.
  • Ensure all employees experience a smooth on-boarding process, including logistical setup of resources (IT, desks, phones, etc.) and creation of new hire induction planners.
  • Partner with HR team to provide seamless activation and sustainment of Global L&D Programs.
  • Manage assigned budgets, optimizing spend and evaluating and engaging others in upstream/downstream impact of budget decisions.
  • Continuously improve learning solutions using data to inform and ensure partners are engaged in upstream/downstream impact of actions.
  • Partner with leadership to assess talent and identify opportunities to strengthen the organization through skill-building, recruitment, and mobility; lead quarterly / bi-annual talent meetings.
  • Design and lead new hire induction planning for all corporate employees and Store Managers.
  • Manage the continuous feedback and performance management process.
  • Manage all communication, training, and compliance for annual performance management process.
  • Coach and educate Managers in HR skills such as managerial/supervisory, interpersonal communication, organizational assessment, performance management employee development, conflict resolution.
  • Advise on employment policy/procedure questions related to employee handbook, pay rates, reviews, and employment law.
  • Provide confidential advice and support to all employees on any employment issues.
  • Conduct internal investigations, when necessary, in a timely manner; track ER issues and record process and activity to give visibility of legal risk.
  • Provide training and coaching to Leadership, Managers and Associates on all aspects of talent acquisitions, performance management, employee development and policies and procedures interpretation across retail and corporate.
  • Provide timely information and education for all levels of the organization on critical/emerging HR issues having potential impact to the business operations.
  • Ensure Retail network is compliant with all FLSA & DOL changes and ensure appropriate communication.
  • Partner with HR Controlling during Budget Process (revisions, reports, etc.).
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to all employees.
  • Understand the core elements of our benefits programs and support administration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, Fashion or Retail experience preferred.
  • Experience in retail, luxury retail or service-oriented organization preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) able to complete VLook ups, pivot tables etc.
  • Shown understanding of labor & employment laws, compensation & benefits, policies & procedure.
  • Proven knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance best practices.
  • Verbal and written communication, including active listening, for determining business goals and suggesting ways to achieve them through human resource initiatives.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and change management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship management, especially at managerial and stakeholder level.
  • Business management, including financial management and strategic planning.
  • Logic, analytics and problem-solving for evaluating business metrics and determining ways to improve results.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, including inclusion and diversity programs.

Salary range: $90-95k
