Purpose:

The Manager, FP&A supports the Senior Manager, FP&A and the Market Director, OTB Mexico in the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes for the organization. The role contributes to financial reporting, operational performance analysis, and business planning to support strategic decision-making and sustainable business growth.

 

The position works cross-functionally with finance, retail operations, logistics, and corporate headquarters to ensure accurate financial analysis, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and alignment with corporate financial objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the preparation and analysis of financial records, management reports, and financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards, including Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) where applicable.
  • Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial plans in alignment with company strategy.
  • Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support business planning, operational decision-making, and investment evaluations.
  • Monitor and analyze sales, margins, operating expenses, and profitability across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and corporate reporting packages for internal leadership and global headquarters in accordance with corporate financial reporting timelines.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure financial records and reporting processes align with Mexican tax regulations and reporting obligations established by the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT).
  • Support internal control procedures and financial compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to company policies, corporate governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics including cost of sales, exchange rate impacts, returns, discounts, and inventory performance.
  • Prepare variance analysis comparing actual financial results against budgets and forecasts and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial presentations and performance reports for senior leadership and corporate stakeholders.
  • Assist in evaluating the financial performance of retail stores, wholesale partners, and other distribution channels through KPI tracking and profitability analysis.
  • Contribute to financial assessments for new store openings, relocations, and capital investments, including financial feasibility analysis, ROI evaluation, and scenario modeling.
  • Support working capital management initiatives including cash flow forecasting and liquidity analysis.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance teams to ensure alignment with global financial policies, procedures, and internal audit requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating with internal and external auditors and supporting documentation requests during financial or compliance audits.
  • Provide analytical support to leadership to facilitate strategic planning, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, accounting, or financial reporting, preferably within the retail or luxury retail industry for Mexico.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written contexts.
  • Knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF), IFRS, and corporate financial reporting practices.
  • Familiarity with Mexican tax compliance frameworks and reporting obligations administered by SAT.
  • Understanding of financial processes across all departments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including the Mexican framework under the Ley Federal del Trabajo (LFT).
  • Experience supporting internal and external audit processes.
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Experience analyzing performance across multi-channel retail environments, including retail stores, wholesale accounts, and e-commerce.
  • Experience supporting capital investment analysis, including store openings and business expansion initiatives, with ROI and financial feasibility evaluations.
  • Knowledge of cash flow management, working capital analysis, and multi-currency financial environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary Range: $110k-$115k
