The Sr. Account Executive is responsible for supporting the growth and profitability of the wholesale business through strategic account management, sales campaign execution, and client partnership development. Managing key wholesale accounts across Men's and Women's ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear, and leather goods, this role partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive seasonal sales plans, maximize sell-through performance, deliver exceptional client service, and ensure brand-right assortment strategies. The Sr. Account Executive acts as a trusted advisor to retail partners while fostering collaboration between global showroom teams, corporate functions, and store-level personnel to support long-term business growth and brand excellence. 

Role and Responsibilities:

International Sales Campaigns
• Partner with Milan-based Showroom Team on scheduling all Milan-bound MARNI USA Clients for appointments in Milan Showroom; work in tandem with rest of  US Wholesale Team to schedule Virtual Appointments into the calendar as well
• Review clients’ budgets prior to clients’ appointments in the Showroom with the Wholesale VP, ensure that these budgets have been discussed weeks prior to market appointments, in order to ensure the client is aware of the financial expectations connected to their orders
• Follow-up with clients after their appointments on order questions/status; reviewing order content with Wholesale VP and forwarding recommendations to clients; collect all orders within the campaign closure and partner with CS on order entry, ensure that all corrections/modifications are communicated back to client so final PO’s can be saved in MARNI’s system
• Train and work alongside/support freelance sellers during all client appointments
• Ensure all .com businesses’ shoots have been scheduled for evenings, preferably when MARNI USA staff is still in Milan and on hand to assist/support the shoots in their efficiency
• Ensure all .com appointments create actual MARNI approved outfits during their appointments; suggest styling tips and share RTW selections with Shoe & Handbag teams, and vice-versa; encourage as much diversification of each .com assortment from other .com clients
• Travel to Milan with Wholesale VP at least twice annually for approx. 5 days each trip for training on new collections as well as larger client appointments happening only in Milan
• Identify with VP of Wholesale & Global Retail Team on aligning on “Best Sellers” to be sold, in order to mitigate/reduce the amount of potential eventual cancellations from production minimums
• Challenge buyers ensuring they have a well-balanced and MARNI appropriate assortment

Sell-Thru Analysis
• Collect/receive weekly by-style and by-door selling reports
• Analyze selling reports and either send congratulations on jobs well-done and/or reach out to buyers to identify potential solutions/tips to problematic selling results; ensure also that stock balances are being watched, suggesting transfers from DC’s to stores with the buying teams to optimize sales and sell-thru performance

• Assist in inputting/generating the master selling file on a weekly basis; the weekly recording allows “last year, this week we performed at **% level for each retailer”
• Responsible for setting-up this template at the start of each season with the exact order figures for each client to ensure correct selling numbers
• Develop Seasonal Collection Briefings and Press Kits once the product information kits have been received from Milan 

Visit Clients Seasonally
• Responsible for reaching out to buyers and individual stores to set-up meetings each season to support sales and educate staff on product featured and visual merchandising guidelines
• Create personal itinerary with the help / guidance of Wholesale VP who controls travel budget
• Prior to traveling, prepare Store Visit Form for each client who will be visited, bring a PK packet if these have been created internally already
• Set-up breakfast for associates and models for the clinics, with the approval of Wholesale VP
• At the conclusion of each trip, share feedback and filled-in Store Visit Forms with Wholesale VP
• Follow-up with store managers, associates, etc. with thank you emails, provide answers to questions if applicable and materials when requested                • Managing Daily Correspondence
• Check-in periodically with all major partners to understand additional stock opportunities and/or associated risks with excess inventory on hand

Sample Coordination & Event Production
• Manage sample loans for Editorial Opportunities; this frequently requires multiple shipments to and from Milan headquarters
• Partner with MARNI HQ & local Visual Team Members in executing any associated local visual needs within retail partners, ensuring the highest level of execution to satisfy needs on either side

Sourcing New Clients & Account Set-Up
• Help field interested potential client requests to carry MARNI merchandise; when traveling, please do not only visit Current Retail Partners, but also target potential new distributors
• Make sure to stay in touch with former clients of MARNI, as clients do sometimes decide to return after they have departed
• Collect all necessary information for any new clients, and partner with Customer Service and Accounts Receivable to ensure seamless set up in MARNI systems before or during market

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• 4-year degree and/or equivalent combination of work and experience

Preferred Skills:
• 5+ years similar experience in a Sales Support role within a wholesale environment
• Luxury Retail experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, role additionally requires very advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Experience reading selling reports & ability to analyze numbers, sales reports, etc.

Salary Range: - $90k - 95k
