Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for applying effective strategies to promote and analyze the performance of Diesel’s Men's & Women’s businesses; identify opportunities, develop market potential, and collaborate with customer service, marketing, production, and merchandising departments to support the growth & success of the Brand.

Finally, you are a self-motivated problem solver with a “do-what-it-takes” mentality to get the job done & constantly have an eye out for ways to improve existing processes.

 

Sales Management:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow and maximize the U.S. wholesale business and achieve sales revenue/profitability for Diesel Department Stores and Specialty Store businesses.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with departments store buying teams and store management to develop and execute Brand strategies
  • Execute Brand initiatives i.e., product assortment strategies, marketing, brand positioning and in-store presentation in partnership; internally and externally.
  • Prepare pre and post market recaps to ensure product and financial opportunities are maximized across all accounts and doors.
  • Analyze and recap business weekly to maximize both door and product opportunities to senior management.
  • Partner with customer service on order entry, order book management and EDIs.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to hindsight successes and missed opportunities, both seasonally and post market.
  • Provide in-season feedback on the competitive landscape and weekly selling.
  • Lead in store product knowledge training for store associates with key account partners.

Financial Planning:

  • Partner with Sr. Director of wholesale to develop annual and seasonal account strategies.
  • Manage internal open to buy/profitability in conjunction with account profitability.
  • Collaborate with wholesale director and finance partners to manage/maintain healthy marginality.
  • Review profitability throughout the season to minimize end of season giveback / RTV.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in wholesale sales in the luxury or contemporary market.
  • Must have worked with department stores & specialty accounts in a sales role.
  • Prior experience with Men’s or Women’s luxury or contemporary is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Strong excel skills.
  • Proficient in retail math.
  • Excellent leadership & communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and establish priorities, to multi-task and achieve deadlines.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to travel to key markets.
  • Strong team player & positive attitude
  • Willing to work in office 3 days a week on hybrid model

 

Salary Range: $85k – 95k
