The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing and executing visual presentation strategies that elevate the customer experience, drive sales, and maintain the brand image across all store locations. This role oversees the planning, design, and implementation of in-store displays, layouts, signage, and seasonal campaigns to ensure visual consistency and commercial impact. This role ensures that key marketing and merchandising objectives are met on time, within budget, and in alignment with Diesel’s brand strategy.

Sales & Strategy
- Leverage sales data and regional performance metrics to identify opportunities, inform visual decisions, and drive sell-through.
- Analyze trends and adapt HQ directives to store-specific business needs, ensuring relevant and profitable product presentation.
- Align visual strategy with business objectives in partnership with Retail Directors, Merchandising, Planning, and Allocation teams.
- Measure the impact of merchandising initiatives using KPIs such as sales performance, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
- Oversees Outlet stores strategy and business, supports Full Price stores strategy and business.

Visual Execution
- Execute visual merchandising guidelines across all stores—including window installations, mannequin styling, floor sets, POP placement, and fixture layout.
- Maintain high standards of product presentation, fixture integrity, and store cleanliness, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Lead visual support for store openings, pop-ups, and special projects in collaboration with Interior Design and HQ Visual Teams.
- Collaborate with store managers and head office to deliver cohesive in-store presentations.
- Create planograms, mock-ups, and visual directives for windows, mannequins, and in-store displays.

Planning & OperationÂ
- Build and maintain a scalable visual calendar aligned with product drops and business milestones.
- Develop and implement seasonal floor plans, category expansions, and in-store visual changes in coordination with HQ and field teams.
- Manage monthly travel schedules and conduct virtual visits to support floor set execution and visual compliance.
- Oversee visual tools, supplies, and materials to ensure stores are properly equipped for execution.
- Communicate and address store maintenance issues (e.g., fixtures, display readiness) with relevant departments (e.g., IDD, Store Operations).

BudgetÂ
- Manage T&E, freelance, and visual materials budgets in collaboration with the Director of Visual Merchandising.
- Ensure cost-effective execution of visual projects while maintaining brand standards.
Â
Communication & Alignment
Â
- Maintain consistent weekly communication with Retail Leadership to align on priorities, travel, and business needs.
- Act as the liaison between HQ Visual, field teams, and stores to ensure smooth rollout of initiatives and consistent feedback loops.
- Provide detailed store visit reports and installation photo recaps to HQ and field leaders.
- Share key field trends, execution insights, and customer feedback to inform future directives.

Training & Development
Â
- Train and coach store teams on visual standards, seasonal directives, and product presentation techniques.
- Support onboarding and continuous development of store associates and junior visual merchandisers.
- Collaborate with Store Managers to build a culture of visual accountability and brand ownership.
- Continuously assess training needs and evolve content and delivery methods to improve effectiveness.

Operations & Loss Prevention
Â
- Implement loss prevention practices by maintaining organized displays and minimizing exposure to shrink.
- Ensure product is merchandised in compliance with Diesel’s policies to protect inventory and brand equity.
- Uphold and promote Diesel’s brand values, including adherence to dress code, brand identity, and store environment standards.
Preferred Skills
- 4-year degree and/or equivalent combination of work and experience
- 2+ years’ experience managing and leading a team
- Creative experience: styling, merchandising, and/or art background
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60% of the workweek)
- Ability and authorization to drive a motor vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication and networking skills, with ability to motivate, persuade, and instill enthusiasm
- Knowledge of denim/casual wear market and associated trends
- Passion for the brand and ability to serve as a brand ambassador
- Exposure to both wholesale accounts and specialty stores

Salary Range: $85k-$95kÂ
