Role Overview
Maison Margiela is seeking a senior, strategic, and product-driven Head of Collection Merchandising – Ready-to-Wear (Men’s & Women’s). This role is pivotal in shaping the global collection vision, ensuring a seamless articulation between creative ambition, brand positioning, and commercial performance across all markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Define and lead the global merchandising strategy for Men’s and Women’s Ready-to-Wear collections
· Own the construction of seasonal collection plans, ensuring coherence, depth, and clarity across categories
· Act as a key business partner to Design, Product Development, and Supply Chain, driving alignment from concept to market
· Leverage performance analysis, market intelligence, and client insights to inform and refine product strategy
· Oversee pricing architecture, category segmentation, and lifecycle management
· Lead showroom strategy and actively contribute to global buying sessions
· Ensure alignment with regional merchandising teams while integrating local market specificities
· Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two, fostering a high-performance culture
· Prepare and deliver strategic presentations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Profile
· 8–10 years of experience in merchandising within the luxury fashion industry
· Strong expertise in Ready-to-Wear across both men’s and women’s categories
· Proven experience in team leadership and cross-functional collaboration
· Business mindset
· Highly analytical mindset combined with strong product sensitivity and aesthetic judgement
· Ability to operate effectively in an international and matrixed environment
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Fluency in French & English is required; Italian is a strong advantage
