Job description: MM6 Menswear Designer - Freelance
Under the instructions of the Creative Director, the MM6 Menswear Designer works closely under the Head Designer. He/She contributes to the design, creative development and execution of the MM6 collections. They will work in line with agreed upon seasonal creative concepts, objectives, collection planning and adhere to the work flow calendar.

Resposibilities:
Â
- Working across multiple Menswear product categories;
- Supporting seasonal collections; (Show and Pre Collections);
- Participate in the definition of creative concepts, in line with Brand DNA and market needs;
- Working on design process via in-depth research, reference images, 3D mock-up, sketches, research on fabric and colour, sourcing of vintage and other materials;
- Collaborate on prints, embroideries, trims; ensuring the accurate selection and allocation of each;
- Work in unison with Product Developers in Italy to ensure execution of Design’s creative vision. Achieve required level of quality and price points and ensure that product execution is consistent with creative concepts;
- Participating in technical fitting sessions, ensuring product feasibility, and maintaining Design desires are respected during commercialization and industrialization;
- Participating in lookbooks and shows, during styling and preparation, supporting the Creative Director and design team;
- Participating in technical presentations for commercial purposes;
- Contributing to Brand Collaborations and Special Projects.

Qualifications :
Â
- Education: BA Fashion Design degree (or related field);
- Required experience: no less than 2 years previous industry experience within RTW Design Studio, preferably within high fashion sector;
- Strong all-rounder; passionate, driven, dynamic, flexible, creative, perfectionist attitude, inter-personal abilities;
- Team player with collaborative mindset, understanding the need to achieve cohesion across categories, and between mens and womens RTW collections;
- High level of organisational skills, ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced environment;
- Equally capable of creative and technical design aspects;
- Design skills: strong in 3D work and ability to clearly communicate the design intention through drawing and rendering;
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, Outlook;
- Strong technical knowledge, working closely with pattern cutters, attending fittings and realising final execution of samples through to production;
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary Ready-to-Wear market, and MM6 brand positioning.

Languages:
- Fluent in English, spoken and written;
- French and Italian as a plus (product development and sample production are in Italy).
