Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Known for its radical approach to fashion, anonymity, and deconstruction, the Maison spans Artisanal haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, MM6, accessories, footwear, fine jewellery, fragrance and special projects. Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, the House continues to push cultural and creative boundaries.
The Senior PR Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing Maison Margiela’s global communications strategy. This position is responsible for driving impactful press coverage across fashion, culture, lifestyle and business media, while safeguarding the Maison’s voice, codes and long-term brand equity. The role works closely with internal teams, agencies, talent and media partners across key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of global PR strategies aligned with Maison Margiela’s brand vision, creative direction and business priorities.
- Manage international press relations across fashion, lifestyle, culture and business media, ensuring consistent and high-quality coverage.
- Oversee PR activations around shows, campaigns, collections, special projects, collaborations and brand moments.
- Develop and manage press materials including press releases, media alerts, key messaging, Q&As, briefing documents and press kits.
- Act as a key point of contact for global PR agencies, coordinating briefs, strategy, priorities, timelines and deliverables across regions.
- Partner closely with Creative, Brand Marketing, Digital, VIP, and Regional teams to ensure a cohesive 360° communication approach.
- Support VIP and celebrity communications strategy in collaboration with the VIP team, ensuring alignment with brand positioning.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with key editors, journalists, cultural voices and opinion leaders globally.
- Monitor media coverage, sentiment, EMV and performance, producing reports and insights to inform future strategy.
- Ensure all communications respect the Maison’s codes, tone of voice and legacy, while supporting its evolution.
- Lead creative ideation on project roll outs with press including paid editorial partnerships.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PR function, ensuring seamless execution across timelines, deliverables and global priorities. Maintain clear operational processes, tools and tracking systems for samples, seeding, showroom activity and press requests. Work closely with logistics, production and regional teams to anticipate needs and resolve operational challenges proactively.
- Manage and develop the PR team, setting objectives, allocating resources, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative and detail-driven culture.
- Oversee the Paris showroom operations, including seasonal set-ups and press appointments
- Oversee management of sample sets across collections, agencies and regional teams, coordinating requests, tracking movements, ensuring timely returns and maintaining sample integrity.
- Manage press and VIP seeding strategies and orders, ensuring thoughtful, targeted placements aligned with communication priorities and brand positioning.

Profile & Experience
- 7–10+ years’ experience in PR and communications, ideally within luxury fashion.
- Strong international media network and understanding of the global press landscape.
- Proven experience managing high-profile projects, fashion shows, campaigns and complex narratives.
- Strategic thinker with strong editorial judgement and attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, creative environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French a strong advantage.
