Description: 

Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. Celebrating unconventional aesthetics and embracing the philosophy that fashion is an art of expression rather than a cult of personality, Maison Margiela offers haute couture, ready-to-wear for women and men, contemporary line MM6, footwear, interior design, and accessories, including leather goods, fine jewelry and fragrance.
In 2002, the French house became part of OTB. Along with sister brands of the group, Maison Margiela continues pushing the boundaries of modern fashion while preserving its distinctive identity and heritage.
 

The position is to be filled as soon as possible for a period of 6 months

 Job responsibilities and activities

 Directly reporting to Head of Social Media, the Social Media & Influence Intern has the following main responsibilities for Maison Margiela and MM6:

  • Assist in implementing social media roll-outs and posting schedules according to global brand and seasonal calendars
  • Research for digital and social media projects (e.g. influencer target list for gifting activations)
  • Create Social media competition benchmarking
  • Create social media and seeding reports to share key insights and KPI results with overall marketing and communication teams (e.g show, quarterly reports, gifting activations, seasonal highlights)
  • Develop and maintain good relationship and dialogue with all internal teams connected to Social Communications (PR, Marketing and Omnichannel)
  • Monitor industry trends, editorial changes and competitors’ initiatives
  • Sample coordination for social media content shoots
  • Execution of influencer seeding and dressing (Shipment and tracking of giftings) 

Skills and experience

 Social Media & Influence Intern is a dynamic professional with a passion for digital marketing and social networks. They have excellent skills in social media, performance analysis and communication, with strong organizational, time management and presentation skills.

  • Adaptable to a changing fast-paced environment
  • Strong sensitivity to fashion and its history
  • Knowledge of the current social media and influence landscape within luxury fashion
  • Knowledge of archival standards and ability to manage different projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of sample coordination (including Fashion GPS, Launchmetrics)
  • Strong presentations skills
  • French and English required (written and spoken).
