Job description:

We are seeking a Visual Merchandiser on a fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Head of Visual Merchandising (VM) for the EMEA region, the primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the maintenance of the display in all EMEA stores, included windows and interiors on a daily basis.
  • Implementing visually compelling retail displays aligned with Maison Margiela’s global brand identity and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborating with store teams to ensure consistency and excellence in visual presentation across all locations within the EMEA region.
  • Provide appropriate indications to the Store Manager and VM in store so that they may contribute to the maintenance of the store.
  • Train the entire staff on the basic of Visual Merchandising.
  • Promptly send pictures of periodical changes to the HQ VM Department based on requested timing in order to allow corrections and consequent fitout changes.
  • Coordinating with the Head of VM EMEA to adapt global strategies to regional needs, always maintaining brand coherence.
  • Give a feedback on the condition of the store ( interiors, windows, display props etc ); keep under control the daily maintenance of the display.
  • Oversee the visual props management and their eventual replenishment, returns or destruction.
  • Monitoring competitors’ practices and market trends to keep Maison Margiela ahead in innovation and presentation.

This position implies to be available for business trips, weekend and working on early morning or night shifts occasionally.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

Experience in Visual Merchandising 1/2 years

Knowledge of European market – main city

Autonomous, rigorous, ability to work in team as well as alone

Good understanding of the luxury industry : products, clients, market

Fluent in both French and English, other language will be a plus (Italian)
