Job Title: Business Finance Manager

Report to: Finance Director

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary

The Business Finance Manager will play a key role in strengthening OTB Korea's finance business partnering capability across multiple brands, including Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, and Jil Sander.

This role is designed to act as a strategic and hands-on finance partner to commercial teams, supporting brand-level performance management, profitability analysis, commercial KPI review, OPEX management, cash flow controlling, and business decision-making.

As OTB Korea operates as a single legal entity managing multiple brands, the role will be important in connecting the consolidated financial view of the company with brand and store-level commercial performance. The successful candidate will help build a more structured and business-oriented Finance function, working closely with the Finance Director, Corporate Finance team, Brand leaders, Retail, Merchandising, Wholesale, and other key stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who wants to grow beyond traditional reporting and controlling, and develop into a stronger commercial finance business partner within a dynamic multi-brand luxury retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze Brand P&L and Store P&L performance across OTB Korea brands.
  • Provide financial insights on sales, margin, profitability, store productivity, and business performance to the Finance Director and senior stakeholders.

  • Translate financial data into clear, practical insights for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support regular business reviews, management discussions, and performance follow-up.
  • Conduct ad-hoc business analysis related to sales performance, investment decisions, profitability, and business initiatives.

2. Financial Planning & Forecasting (NOP / Budget / Forecast)

  • Support and coordinate NOP, budget, forecast, and planning processes from a business finance perspective.
  • Prepare and consolidate net sales planning inputs across brands and channels.
  • Collect, review, and integrate key planning assumptions from commercial teams, including:
  • Specific account-level plans and targets
  • Channel-specific estimates
  • Retail OPEX assumptions and expenditure plans
  • Ensure consistency between business plans, financial targets, and management expectations.
  • Prepare supporting analysis, scenarios, and explanations for planning discussions with Finance Director and Sr. Financial Controlling Manager

3. OPEX Management

  • Monitor and analyze commercial OPEX by brand, function, and key cost category.
  • Support budget control and spending discipline through regular review and variance analysis.
  • Challenge business assumptions where appropriate and provide recommendations for efficiency and cost optimization.

  • Track wholesale sell-in performance against targets and flag material deviations to Finance Director.
  • Review accounts receivable collection status to ensure payments are proceeding in accordance with contractual terms and agreed timelines.
  • Manage and monitor cash flow implications from wholesale activities to minimize discrepancies between planned and actual cash receipts.
  • Escalate collection risks or cash flow concerns proactively to the Finance Director and relevant commercial stakeholders.

5. Inventory Order & Cash Flow Controlling

  • Review and monitor inventory purchase orders to ensure alignment with approved OTB (Open to Buy) plans.
  • Track inventory order progress and coordinate with relevant business teams to ensure delivery timelines and financial commitments are on plan.
  • Identify and escalate deviations between planned and actual cash flow related to inventory commitments.
  • Work closely with business teams to manage CF (Cash Flow) impact of inventory decisions, ensuring minimal variances from plan.

  • Build trust with business stakeholders through collaborative communication and practical financial guidance.
  • Support commercial teams in making better informed, financially sound business decisions.

8. Financial Controlling Support & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Support Financial Controlling activities in coordination with the Corporate Finance team, including month-end closing support and group reporting requirements.
  • Provide business-related explanations and supporting analysis when required for internal reviews, HQ reporting, or audit-related matters.
  • Partner with commercial teams on selected inventory, OTB, and purchase planning topics from a financial analysis perspective.
